Wetland & Preserve Management
There are many areas throughout a community where natural areas coexist with manicured lawns and other highly landscaped areas. Many of these areas provide needed habitat for a broad range of wildlife that is needed to ensure the quality and health of your lakes ecosystem. Aquatic Systems can include these areas in implementation, restoration and maintenance managment plans.

Preserves/Uplands
These areas on dry land are often wooded and reflect a less manicured, more natural state. They provide habitat for animals including nesting areas for many birds.

Wetlands
Areas where the soil is saturated is a common habitat for waterfowl and other animals. Wetland mitigation is often required to meet compliance

Shoreline
Many communities have grass planted and maintained right to the water's edge. This can be a diffucult area to mow and is not generally the best option for the lake environment. Many plants are suited to this area and provide food and habitat for other living things.

Littoral Areas
This is the area where the water line begins and includes plants and algae that often act as cover for smaller aquatic animals.
